Welcome to my homepage!
I am a postdoctoral researcher in the Laboratory of Renewable Science and Engineering (LRESE) at EPFL, Lausanne, Switzerland, working with Prof. Sophia Haussener. I am a part of the European Union funded PH2OTOGEN project that aims to successfully demonstrate a scalable device that can efficiently utilize solar energy to produce hydrogen along with other valuable products to make it commercially viable.
Previously, I completed by PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), USA, under the supervision of Prof. Laurent Pilon, where I worked in the field of radiation transfer to understand light-matter interactions across length scales for developing novel solar-driven technologies. Before that, I graduated with a B.Tech-M.Tech dual degree in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Kanpur, where I did experimental work on steam condensation heat transfer in the presence of non-condensable gases under the supervision of late Prof. Sameer Khandekar.
I hail from a beautiful city named Chittorgarh in the western Indian state of Rajasthan, which is famous worldwide for its historic fort. (See Photos).
I love engaging in creative pursuits, be it academic or extra curricular. This desire for originality makes me happy whenever I am able to come up with something new. This has manifested itself in my research as well as in my creative expression such as composing poems, singing, photography, and blogging.
