UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA, LOS ANGELES

Hi all, welcome to my webpage.

I am a 2nd year PhD student in Mechanical Engineering at Universiy of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), USA. I am currently working in the field of light transfer, trying to understand light-matter interactions in order to develop novel solar-driven technologies. Previously, I graduated with a B.Tech-M.Tech dual degree in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Kanpur. For my Masters, I worked in the Phase Change Thermal Systems Laboratory under Dr. Sameer Khandekar. I hail from a beautiful city in southern Rajasthan - Chittorgarh, famous worldwide for its historic fort, which is one of the largest in Asia. (See Photos).

I am an imaginative person who likes engaging in creative pursuits, be it academic or extra curricular. I am passionate about working in the field of radiative transfer with applications in efficient solar energy utilisation and conversion in order to develop novel technologies to meet the challenges in water, energy and food across the world, especially in developing countries. I am currently looking at light transfer phenomena in photoelectrochemical systems to quantify the optical losses and improve their designs for better performance.
